You may well remember that package holidays were once the most popular way for many of us to go about having our annual trips abroad. We would let a single tour operator sort out our flights, our hotel stays and any airport transfers that we might need. It was an excellent way to easily book a holiday. It also seemed like we were getting value for money too, so the situation looked set to continue.
